DESCRIPTION:

- Must have a collaborative management style with the ability to build partnerships with client groups and key stakeholders in order to effectively influence and drive business performance.
- A successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their ability to link shop-floor performance and behaviors to financial impact.
- This position will help lead the reporting and planning of the plants financial activities.
- Responsibilities will include financial reporting, thorough reports analysis and interpretation, annual cost standard and fixed overhead planning and to partner with Plant Management team to influence and drive the plant's productivity agenda.
- In addition, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the financial records and safeguarding of assets through a strong internal control environment that is adherent to the companies International's policies as well as GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley policies.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Ability to extract, organize, analyze, and report data in a manner that is useful and relevant for making business decisions with the use of an ERP system (SAP)
- Perform all cost accounting activities including standard cost development, inventory control, variance analysis, etc
- Provide reporting and analysis for all manufacturing activity including productivity, forecasting, budgeting, absorption, inventory and operations planning, etc.
- Review business activity and accounts to support accurate and timely submission.
- Participate in development of the annual operating plan and monthly forecasting.
- Lead annual physical inventory and manage all cycle count procedures
- Reconcile applicable balance sheet accounts
- Communicate and explain manufacturing performance
- Develop and support a personal and company-wide culture of Lean and/or Six Sigma principles
- Thorough documentation of internal control processes and ability to identify and mitigate control weaknesses
- Develop broad technical and communication skills through self-study, internal training opportunities
- Provide thought leadership, analytics and insight on achievement of plant key performance metrics.
- Support Business Unit Finance as required with respect to projects including capital appropriations and plant utilization/capacity/asset management issues.
- Provide financial support and tools for the Lean Six Sigma Teams

SKILLS:

SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor of Science and/or Business degree in Accounting or Finance
- 7+ years of experience in Finance or Accounting Management
- 5+ years in product costing, and systems
- 3+ years in a manufacturing environment
- Bilingualism is a must

DESIRED:

- Must be able to work under pressure in a self-training and independent environment
- Extensive practical system knowledge (SAP/Other Costing Systems, advanced Excel)
- Professional accounting designation CPA, CMA, CGA is preferred
- MBA in Accounting/Finance would be an asset
