Overview

For a maternity cover period, an excellent opportunity has arisen to join a large international insurance company within their Financial Reporting team.The position will give the successful candidate an excellent opportunit to work within an international financial services organisation and will include full employee benefits for the duration of the contract.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Undertake the monthly UK financial close process, including journal entry and the overseeing of the production of key reconciliations for both income statement and balance sheet, ensuring reconciling items are investigated and cleared on a timely basis.
- Support the periodic production of draft and final reporting accounts.
- Support the team in the production of USGAAP financial and commentary.
- Assist the Technical Accountant in developing the existing process, improving efficiency, quality of explanations and the wider teams understanding of the UK result.

KEY SKILLS

- AS THE PARENT COMPANY IS IN THE UNITED STATES, COMMERCIAL EXPERIENCE OF USGAAP IS HIGHLY DESIRABLE.
