IT Controller - Financial Controller - Financial Accountant - Amsterdam

My global blue chip client has an urgent contract requirement for a Financial Controller/IT Controller/Financial Accountant to join a busy, energetic IT Controlling team based in the Netherlands. The successful IT Controller/Financial Controller will be joining a team responsible for effective financial management within an IT Services, including budgeting, financial reporting, FTE tracking and cost control. Experience of following IT governance and control procedures is essential alongside a can-do attitude and a structured analytical approach to work. The successful candidate will need to enthusiastic, eager to learn and willing to develop and hone their financial accounting skills.
This role would be ideal for a candidate looking to further their financial accountancy/Controlling career withing a reputable global business.

Essential Skills and requirements:

Experience in financial accounting/IT controlling with a good understanding of cost analysis and reporting, preferably in a multinational environment.
Knowledge of controlling and accounting methodologies for reporting, governance and transfer pricing purposes.
Advanced user of MS Excel, MS Access and ideally Business Objects/MI reporting
Knowledge of IT sourcing, controlling and financial management is essential
Be able to assist in budgeting, financial reporting, cost and project control for IT across the global footprint of services.
Excellent financial reporting skills, to various levels of business stakeholders
An enthusiastic 'can-do' mentality with a structured, analytical and logical approach, and an ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
Be able to make quick, effective, and business compliant decisions. Understands the importance of accurate and effective control.
Excellent communication skills and experience working in an international environment, able to build on relationships with IT and business colleagues alike, and external suppliers as applicable.
Fluent in English, both verbally and written. Other European languages are a plus.
Occasional travel will be required to other European locations
