Financial Accountant in Payrolling

For our banking client in Zurich are we looking for a

Financial accountant in payrolling

Start date: The sooner the better

Duration: min. 6 months

Location: Zurich

Project information and tasks:

Responsibility for the payroll process and accounting support functions of several international offices in EMEA countries.

Payroll Processing:

- collect and provide external provider with the required information regarding monthly payroll calculation,
- perform secondary reviews of monthly payroll,
- ensure timely tax and social security filings and payments,
- act as 1st level support for payroll related question

Accounting:

- perform month end close activities, such as preparation of payroll journal entries, validation of intercompany billings, preparation of balance sheet account reconciliation,
- support Head Payroll with internal and external auditor requests,
- consolidate global payroll reports and internal check lists Project Management:
- set up, implement and document processes for the international payroll team,
- improve accounting reports,
- roll out centralized payroll responsibility for additional locations

Must have skills:

- Commercial education with further training in Finance and Accounting
- Minimum of 3 years professional experience in Accounting and Payroll (particularly with 3rd party provider)
- Strong knowhow in SAP HR and SAP R/3
- Proficient Excel skills
- Client and quality oriented
- Strong analytical skills in combination with high detail orientation
- Proactive working style, highly reliable, not hesitating to take ownership
- Open-minded and able to deal with different cultures
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, team player
