Financial Accountant - Edinburgh - 6 Months

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT for INITIAL 6 MONTHS contract based in EDINBURGH.

PURPOSE OF POST:

Report to the Head of Finance; ensure that all tasks within the Financial Policy and Services department are carried out within agreed timescales. Preparation of monthly board reports and annual Financial Statements.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

- Accountancy qualifications eg ACCA, CIMA or equivalent,
- Experience gained within preparing public sector accounts on IFRS basis. 
- Competent use of word, excel, outlook. 
- Experience of managing and monitoring budgets and allocation of resources in public sector organisation.  Knowledge of current IAS's, IFRS's.
- Relevant Accountancy qualification eg ACCA, CIMA
- Competent and experienced in all aspects of administration
- Excellent numeracy skills and ability to interpret and compare a range of information

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

- Competent use of Agresso Financial.
