Financial Accountant/Accountant

I am looking to hire Financial Accountant/Accountant for one of the public sector client

JOB TITLE: Accountant

LOCATION: Skipton House

CONTRACT LENGTH: upto 6 months

CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: BPSS (DS) - Baseline Personnel Security Standard (with a Disclosure Scotland)

ADDITIONAL INFO: This role will require the 2 candidates to develop a template which will be used by trusts to provide their budget information. The accountants will also be asked to analyse this information when it is returned.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:
-Must understand clients budgeting and have experience of working on clients budgets.
-Thorough understanding of client financing required.
-Experience in the acute sector is vital.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Monthly reporting routines including prepayments, accruals and journals;
- Circulation of monthly reports to business unit; assisting budget holders with quarterly forecasting; investigating and resolving manager and business leader queries;
- Assisting managers and business leaders with tasks at year end; Liaison with auditors in support of year end; Supporting system changes for any organisation restructure;
- Completion of balance sheets recs as part of month-end routine. You will also act as a Business Partner at an Executive Level.
