Financial Accountant

I have an excellent opportunity for a Financial Account to work for a major Pharmaceutical company based in Surrey.

Start date: ASAP
Contract length: 6 months
Location: Surrey
Rate: £negotiable

Key purpose of the Financial Accountant
Providing Accounting Services to assigned unit(s) within the Region while ensuring quality of Financial and Management information that support effective decision making on a Global and Regional level.
Ensuring the quality of reported data and guarantee compliance to Group and BU Reporting standards as well as country statutory requirements.
Ensuring Reporting assigned reporting unit(s) are in compliance with the companies standards

Key responsibilities
General Management
Strive for excellence in communication within the organisation.
Coordination and Support in ad hoc projects
Issues resolution and initiating efficiency improvement ideas
Ability to lead projects and teams
Ability to build effective relationships and work as an effective team member.

Accounting
Provide Accounting Services to assigned reporting unit(s) via a portfolio of accounting tasks - General ledger accounting, fixed assets, accruals, reconciliations etc.
Develop Best in Class processes with effective and efficient use of the resources
Ensuring accounting services are conducted in line with IFRS, Group and Division accounting standards.
Strive for excellence in quality and timeliness, ensuring statutory requirements are met.

Reporting
Ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial reports for assigned Reporting Unit(s) within the Region.
Liaise with relevant functions, providing necessary information related to the region.
Prepare the regular financial statements review, initiate quality and efficiency improvements

Skills required
Proven experience as a Financial Accountant
Relevant qualification such as ACCA
Ideally certified Public Accountant or Chartered Account or equivalent
Large blue chip client experience
