Financial Accountant

Overview

Take all reasonable steps to ensure adherence to all external regulatory, legal and industry obligations within the business area.
To demonstrate a positive risk and control culture through the active identification, assessment, monitoring and management of risks controls within the business area.
To ensure that you understand and adhere to Prudential's Code of Conduct and where appropriate, comply with all relevant regulatory policies. This includes completion of all mandatory training requirements.
Ensure all expenditure commitments (orders, contracts, budgets, etc.) and all payments are properly authorised, controlled and monitored in accordance with Prudential UK delegated authority requirements.
Primary Skills Required

*Experience of preparing an attestation
*Able to review asset data reconciliations in HFM, analyse differences, assess impact and resolve
*Has a good understanding of the UK entity structure

Experience

*Experience of financial reporting standards and emerging regulations
*Experience of MI and report production
*Significant experience of cash and account monitoring
*Significant experience of data analysis Knowledge
*Working knowledge of life and pensions products, markets and competitors
*Working knowledge of financial services regulatory and legislatory frameworks
*Relevant professional qualification (ie Accountant)
*Understanding of the Statements of Principle and Code of Practice
