Financial Accountant - 6 months - Warwick - Negotiable Rate

A leading Energy and Utility client of Hyphen is looking for a Financial Accountant to join their site in Warwick.

Job Purpose

To contribute to the maintenance of the General Ledger in accordance with the clients Accounting policies and control framework. Includes the integrity of data flows from interfaced systems, month and year end close activities, reconciliations, chart of account maintenance and the management of cash and banking and fixed assets activities.

Qualifications Required

Part Qualified accountant or qualified by experience

Key Tasks

Review of balance sheet reconciliations performed by offshore team (TCS, India)
Act as an administrator for the Certification system we use
Liaison with many other departments/finance teams to obtain support and explanations for balances
Process documentation
Support transfer of additional balance sheet work into the team (third party reconciliations)
Ensure compliance with SOX and internal controls
Prepare materials and deal with queries from external auditors
Support improvements to quality of the reconciliations and timing clearance of reconciliation items
