Financial Accountant

RZ Group is currently recruiting Financial Accountants in Edinburgh. Initial contracts range from 12 to 18 months. Only candidates with Financial Services experience will be considered. Financial reporting (FINREP) is a European regulation which applies to 'credit institutions' that will significantly increase the level of reporting of financial information to the regulator.

ROLE:

This role sits within the FinRep project team which has been set up to create systems & structures to meet these new reporting obligations. Successful candidates must have a sound grasp of financial reporting & control principles, including IFRS.

- Collection, review & challenge of FINREP financial data
- Managing relationships with relevant stakeholders across divisions
- Confidence and the ability to understand, challenge and interpret financial data

EXPERIENCE:

- Qualified Accountant
- Exposure to & understanding of International Accounting Standards and applying to interpretation of FINREP guidance
- Experience of consolidation principles and statutory financial reporting
