Financial Accountant

My client, a large public sector organisation, is currently looking for a number of Financial Accountants to join their team in London. The successful candidates will be Qualified Accountants with a good understanding of statutory and contract accounting.

Experience required:

- Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA)
- Good understanding of statutory and contract accounting
- Some exposure either to public procurement procedures or buying in a private sector organisation
- Ability to develop detailed work plans, manage multiple projects, and lead team members
- Strong financial, analytical, technical, and interpersonal skills
- Substantial knowledge of PC-based analytical tools, including databases (Access) and spreadsheets (Excel)
- Ability to strongly and confidently communicate with supplier personnel
- Understanding of risk, and commercial mechanisms to allocate and/or share risk.
- Understanding of legal terminology and the process of resolving disputes

The role is paying up to £550/day for an initial 6 month contract.
