Financial Accountant

Hyphen have an excellent opportunity to work for a large Utilities client based in Coventry as a Financial Accountant on an 8 month contract

The successful candidate will ideally have an ACA qualification and will have experience of both UK GAAP and IFRS standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of UK GAAP and IFRS statutory accounts
- Preparation of tax pack information and iXBRL electronic tagged files for the internal tax team
- Preparation of other external and internal reporting eg. national statistics, providing information to group team etc
- Provide technical accounting advice and training and support on ad-hoc projects eg. IFRS conversion, rationalisation of entities, migration to new shared service centre etc

Essential Skills:
- ACA qualified
- Good knowledge of both UK GAAP and IFRS accounting standards
- Experience of preparing UK GAAP and IFRS statutory accounts
- Good excel/word skills
- Good presentation skills
- SAP experience preferred but not mandatory
