FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT

ROLE: Financial Accountant
LOCATION: London
TYPE: Contract-10 months.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Take a leading role in analysing the Accounts return 
- Liaise with the National Audit Office 
- Maintain robust audit trails

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

- Qualified accountant with 3 years plus experience in a large Finance team. 
- Experience of preparing accounts in conformity with relevant accounting standards. 
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence others 
- High level exposure and use of complex accounting systems 
- Advanced Excel skills
- High level management skills 
- Sound project management skills
- Familiarity with complex accounting systems Desirable: 
- Experience in preparing consolidated accounts 
- External audit background
- Detailed experience of Financial Reporting Manual (FReM) and Managing Public Money. 
- Knowledge and experience of government budgeting and estimates 
- Previous experience of being an expert user for a financial information system
