Financial Accountant

On behalf of Hyphens Utilities client I am looking to recruit a Financial Accountant to be based in Coventry for 6 months.

It will be your responsibility to assist in the migration of monthly accounting close work from sites to the Accounting Centre team.

Role responsibilities:
* Contribute to the financial close each month:
o Collection and input of monthly accruals data
o Ownership for entries in SAP
o Performing relevant balance sheet reviews and reconciliations
o General ledger maintenance including ensuring cost codes, work breakdown structures and cost centres are being used correctly
o User access control to SAP
o Ensuring required internal controls are adhered to
* Assist in providing audit information as requested
* Maintaining good working relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external
* Work with the wider close team to deliver improved accounting processes and controls

Key attributes:
* Part/Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA)
* Excellent numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data
* Excel skills and financial accounting systems experience (ideally SAP)
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an enthusiastic team attitude
* High level of self-motivation, drive and initiative
