Projektbeschreibung

My public sector client are looking for a Financial Accountant for a fast paced role reporting to the Finance Manager.

Duties:
*Day to day supervision, development and training of the Finance Assistants
*Administration of the Purchase Order system.
*Creation and maintenance of new Nominal Accounts and Cost Centres
*Checking and certification of payment runs
*Month end journal posting and cost allocation
*Month end balance sheet account reconciliation
*Month end balance forward
*Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register and the calculation of depreciation charges;
*Supporting the Reporting Accountant with ad hoc reporting as required;
*Supporting the Head of Strategy in the development of Financial Policies, Processes and Reporting Systems upgrades as required;
*Assist the Finance Manager and the Head of Finance with the preparation of the Annual Final Accounts. This will involve the interrogation of Finance Systems to provide information required for disclosure in the notes to the Financial Statements;
*Maintain strong and effective relationships with the Head of Strategy and the Business Partner Team to ensure the free flow of information and business knowledge within the Finance Team as a whole;
*Provide cover for the Finance Manager as required

Essential Skills
*CCAB qualified Financial Accountant
*Evidence of succeeding in a fast paced, project based environment
*Significant understanding of financial accounting rigour and reporting responsibility
*Proven understanding of Purchase Order systems and their underlying requisition processes
*Proven ability of interpreting and communicating complex financial issues to both financial and non-financial colleagues
*Demonstrable understanding of delegation and authorisation frameworks common to Government entities
*Track record of operating a range of accounting systems and advanced capability of managing complex Excel spreadsheets (V Lookups, Pivot tables etc)

Desirable Skills
*Knowledge of the administration and functionality of Sage 200 computer system
*Knowledge of the administration and functionality of Sicon Purchase Order system
*Knowledge of system implementations and roll outs across organisations
