Finance Systems Project Manager

YOUR PROFILE

The main purpose of the job is to Project Manage the Future Finance programme and take full responsibility for the its successful delivery.

The Programme will have end users at its heart and is expected to deliver substantial and demonstrable improvements of services to end users.

Substantial reductions in cost base are expected.

Expertise in finance system application implementations and project management is mandatory.

The position will report to the CFO and willl have professional links to the Director of Strategic Planning and Change.

MAIN DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

MANAGING THE PROJECT

- Setting the overall direction of the Project
- Ensuring the project has robust governance mechanisms
- Establishing and leading the project team

MANAGING THE IT IMPLEMENTATION

- Managing the system/s procurement
- Managing relationship between HE and 3rd party suppliers
- Work with project team to ensure essential implementation activities are complete
- Design and manage the interface of all finance and finance related systems
- Ensure smooth transition of system to operational state

MANAGING THE CHANGE

- Ensure organisational constraints, capability and policy issues are identified and addressed
- Implement robust benefits methodology
