FINANCE SYSTEMS MANAGER - ORACLE TO SAP TRANSITION

Finance/Business Systems Support

Role Purpose

To represent the Business Systems function in the transition process to SAP, supporting the migration and implementation of new interfaces, enhancements and processes to deliver initiatives imperative for the success of the SAP programme.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

ORGANISATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS

Responsible for the recommending and delivering solutions to interface requirements to support the introduction  and SAP. Constantly referring back to the SDD's and technical specifications ensuring the solutions deliver the requirement efficiently, effectively and in timely manner.

Responsible for coordinating all 3rd party engagement with vendors to support delivering of initiatives to be in place for the SAP deployments. Maintain and enhance the Integrity and control      processes of all Input and Output Systems Interfaces ensuring a robust control framework between source and target systems.

Responsible for delivering the Data Migration data sets required for each Solution package in the programme along with any pre transition requirements.

Support the work stream leads on the programme to design a supporting framework and process governance for all new initiatives delivered by the programme affecting the Business Systems Dept. Represent Business Systems Support as the Lead to the UK&I deployment of Application Patch sets across the existing Oracle E-business Suite, providing regular check point status', performance against plan and risks/concerns. Responsible for engaging the key user base to perform UAT and obtain agreement to promote to Production.

Represent Business Systems Support as the Lead to the MQ Middleware upgrade, working in conjunction with the offshore support teams and 3rd party hosting suppliers to ensure all testing is documented, arranged with end users and risks/concerns are highlighted. Manage and develop relationships with the key strategic Finance Suppliers to sustain high levels of service offering and enhance the  services to meet the needs of the STUART Programme. Challenge business requirements and/or consider alternative approaches to initiatives to deliver - successful completion of the Oracle - SAP transition implementation. Responsible for documenting all initiatives and developments in line with Coso standards and championing the COSO framework throughout the transition phase. Develop and maintain robust controls utilising the COSO framework to mitigate risk and providing a structured process approach. Influencing and supporting the programme in strategic decision making to deliver the required outputs of the programme in a controlled manner with the business requirements at the heart throughout. Carry out Business Impact Assessments on any new initiative, interface, process or control created by the transition. Support the Business Systems Support Mgr through the lead up to the transition, deputise when necessary and consult on a regular basis to ensure full exposure of the programme milestones, risks, concerns and additional requirements.

ACCOUNTING

Extensive knowledge of Oracle Financials 11.5.10

Extensive knowledge of the Finance Systems Architecture in particular Oracle EBS and      Middleware.

KEY SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE (THOSE REQUIRED TO FULFIL THE ROLE): Proven experience of system implementations and transitions

Excellent problem solving and organisation skills, with the ability to meet extremely tight deadlines

Impeccable attention to detail, Strong customer & commercial focus, Proven experience and Extensive knowledge of the Oracle E-business Suite (11.5.10) both functionally and technically. Strong analytical approach and able to influence.
