Finance Specialist

*Deliver a range of finance development tasks to improve and embed the financial reporting, financial controls and financial management.

These will cover the following areas of finance operations:
o Set up of certain aspects of the new Agresso general ledger arrangements.
o Development of robust finance processes and controls
o Development of aspects of monthly financial reporting
o Design and implementation of processes for a hard close of the organisations resource accounts.
o Review of data quality of components of the organisations financial information
o Documentation of processes, controls and assurance activities to provide a formal record and to inform discussions with Internal Audit team.
o Supporting the establishment of working protocols between Finance and Business Managers who provide Finance Business Partnering support
o Development of annual plan and timetable for the team to ensure key deliverables are in place and that work can effectively be reprioritised
o To review existing processes to see if further use can be made of Agresso functionality.

* Provide project management discipline over the programme of development and improvement workstreams.

Essential
CCAB recognised qualified accountant
Experience of the development of finance systems, processes and controls.
Sufficiently skilled and experienced to work predominantly on their own initiative.
Strong communication skills (oral and written)

Desirable
Experience of implementation of a new ERP system
Experience of Agresso.
