Finance Risk & Control Manager

Specification:
PRG are currently recruiting for this leading Financial Services organisation based in the heart of Edinburgh &ndash they seek to hire an experienced Finance Manager with particular experience across Finance Risk & Controls.

You will be a qualified accountant, ideally 2-4 years PQE who can demonstrate strong assurance skills in reviewing/investigating financial reporting, PRA and operational risk.

The role will report to Head of Finance Rick & Control and work closely with a Senior Manager &ndash this position does not necessarily have line management responsibility, however you will be expected to add value to coaching, mentoring and development within the team in Edinburgh.

Key responsibilities of the role are:

&bull Establish and develop key relationships with Financial and Prudential Reporting teams
&bull Support Senior Finance/Relationship Managers with:
o Financial Reporting
o Prudential Regulatory Reporting
o Operational Risk Assessments
o Develop and Assess the adequacy of related control &ndash make improvement recommendations
&bull Support SOx programmes
&bull Monitor financial reporting, prudential regulatory reporting and operational risk issues and provide advice on identified issues
&bull Continuously assess risk and control profile

The role will require occasional travel to London i.e. monthly.

Ideal background &ndash will suit internal/external audit or SOx in Treasury/Wholesale environment. Additionally, exposure to IAS39 and IFRS9 would be advantageous.
