Finance/PMO Manager - Banking - Manchester - £500/day

A top banking organisation based in Manchester is currently looking to hire a Finance/PMO Manager to join a major remediation programme, initially for 6 months.

*This role requires a qualified or QBE accountant who has strong banking/financial services experience working within large Project or programme environments*

The PMO Finance Manager is responsible for the financial control, governance support and reporting for c.£790m of redress and delivery cost provisions for more than 15 projects in various stages.

Key responsibilities will include:- Managing a team, the Finance Manager will ensure the following is in place for the duration of the Customer Redress & Remediation portfolio duration:

- Maintain financial control of the delivery costs for each project (Actuals via invoices/journals/accruals and Forecast via Project Finance Plan process via liaison with Project Managers
- Support project managers with IAC funding submission and review process
- Deep-dives and analysis of all delivery costs by project
- Project Manager Project Finance Plan forecasts and assumptions
- MI and data for redress from live projects
- Purchase order requisitions from workstreams
- Internal Reporting of provisions and costs for redress and project overheads
- Internal Reporting of provisions and costs for redress and project overheads to Finance
- External reporting of provisions and costs for redress and project overheads
- Monthly reporting of Actual costs to finance and governance
- Support for project redress process and reconciliation set-up
- Project and Steering meeting attendance and support
- Half-Year and Full Year Audit support
- Support for Audit Committee papers

KEY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:- - Qualified Accountant - ACCA, CIMA, ACA or QBE
- Financial Services, ideally banking experience as Accountant, Finance PMO or Finance Project Manager
- Experienced at managing finance/pmo teams ensuring delivery
