FINANCE MANAGER, TECHNICAL ACCOUNTING (IFRS 9)

A Senior Finance Manager with Technical Accounting (IFRS 9) experience is required to work on a six month contract for a Financial Services client based in Swindon, Wiltshire.

This is a great opportunity to work for a leading Financial Service client.

OVERVIEW OF THE SENIOR FINANCE MANAGER CONTRACT ROLE

The IFRS 9 programme will be one of the largest and highest profile initiatives within the client's Finance division over the next three years. They are looking for a Finance Manager with a passion for delivery in a project environment. Supporting the programme in its design phase the role is within a team of technical accounting experts which interfaces with a wide range of finance, credit risk, business and project stakeholders.

KEY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SENIOR FINANCE MANAGER

- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Influencing all the changes within Finance and the wider business, based on the requirements of the IFRS 9 standard.
- Deal with complex information and accounting issues in order to debate and present appropriate solutions.
- Be commercially aware and be able to view issues from different perspectives and drive and implement appropriate solutions to meet business needs.
- Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and external advisors.
- Communicate effectively, tailoring written and verbal communication to audience needs.
- Produce clear and concise papers, with an ability to explain complex issues and ideas in a straight forward manner.
- Manage key work deliverables and co-ordinate the activity of others, where appropriate, to deliver against challenging and sometimes conflicting deadlines.
- Collaborate effectively within the team, and across project workstreams to seek input and support other areas.

The role is based in Swindon this is commutable from Bristol, Bath, Chippenham, Cheltenham and Oxford
