Finance Manager (NATO)

2. Duties/role (under direction of the Senior Finance Administrator of the Financial Reporting Section)
2.1. Will assist in the preparation of quarterly closings and annual Financial Statements:
2.2. Participates in the design, development, implementation, standardisation and improvement of financial closing processes using automated tools ranging from excel to Enterprise Resource Planning and Business Intelligence tools;
2.3. Prepares and manages the closing schedules where actions, owners and dates are identified as to close the accounts on a quarterly and annual basis;
2.4. Analyses financial and management accounting data, and produces based on that data quarterly results which are presented to the Financial Controller and Management as to compare actual Agency results against the annual Business Plan;
2.5. Assists in the preparation of the annual Agency Financial Statements which have to be compliant with the NATO Financial Regulations and the NATO Accounting Framework (NAF) based on the International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS);
2.6. Works directly with both the internal and external audit teams during the annual financial statements audits and other ad hoc audits as needed.
2.7. Will assist in the preparation of various financial reports at the corporate level for Management and Governance purposes:
2.8. Participates in the design, development, implementation, standardisation and improvement of financial closing and reporting processes using automated tools ranging from excel to Enterprise Resource Planning and Business Intelligence tools;
2.9. Provides analyses and produces management reports for both internal and external stakeholders, regarding Agency revenues and expenses, variances from productivity targets, and other aspects of management control to support decision making;
2.10. Develops recommendations regarding business objectives and financial targets for managers of NCIA's business units and provides advice on business proposals and business plans if required.
2.11. Will assist in the corporate control functions within the Financial Reporting section as part of the Reporting
