Finance Manager - Cash & Balance Sheet

The Role

- This role will be a key role in Group Finance preparing the Group's monthly cashflow, balance sheet and capex reporting and providing analysis on the Group's cash and balance sheet to the Board and other stakeholders.
- The role will prepare balance sheet and cash flow Forecasts, Budgets and 5-year plans.
- This analysis will enable the Board to make decisions regarding the Group.

Key Accountabilities

- Timely and incisive monthly Group Cashflow and analysis, Group Balance Sheet analysis and Group Capex analysis ensuring any variances to budget, forecast and prior year are explained adequately.
- Cashflow and balance sheet budget and re-forecasts.
- Covenant and rolling 12 month cash flow forecast reporting to banks, including timely turn-around of answers to ad hoc lenders' queries.
- Developing and owning the 5 year plan model for balance sheet and cash flow.
- Building the capability within Hyperion Planning to produce integrated balance sheet and cashflow forecasts on a business unit and Group-wide basis.

Skills & Experience

- Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
- Substantial PQE experience

Experience:

- Complex financial planning and reporting in a multi-ledger, multi-currency environment
- Experience of cashflow forecasting essential
- Proven experience of working in a changing environment and to tight deadlines
- Experience of interpreting bank documentation required

Other Significant Role Requirements:

- The individual in this role will be required to work with a number of different areas of the business - for example the Treasury function, the Financial Accounting team based in Manchester, the compliance team (function sits with the Legal dept) and Group Finance.
- The role will need to work with external banks and lawyers.
- The individual in this role will need to juggle these various stakeholders and prioritise his/her workload accordingly.
- Complete reliability in producing accurate board-level output.
- Flexibility and adaptability in dealing with the demands of a rapidly changing business.
- Commitment to continuous improvement.
