Finance Manager - Band 8A

* Job Title: Finance Manager (Band 8A)

* Rate: £250-350 per day
* Contract: 3-6 months

I am working on behalf of an NHS Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) in the South East with an urgent demand for an interim Finance Manager to join the organisation for a period of 3-6 months.

The Finance Manager will be required to provide financial advice, support and guidance to the development of the CCG.

This is an ideal opportunity for Senior Management Accountants and Finance Managers with PCT accounting experience to be involved in the development of a new organisation during an important period of transition within the NHS.

Duties and responsibilities:

* Developing new processes and systems for the CCG
* Developing and monitoring QIPP savings
* Reporting on the QIPP progress at the QIPP tracker review meetings
* Financial reporting for the CCG
* Assisting in the producing the CCG's annual operating plan
* Providing financial costing support for business cases
* Reviewing the financial implications of operational plans
* Liaising with CCG Executive and Clinical Leads, Commissioning Support South contracting and finance teams

Essential skills:
* Qualified accountant (or QBE with a minimum of 3 years NHS experience at an equivalent band 8A level)
* 3 years PCT experience (preferably in more than one PCT)
* Excellent IT and communication skills
* Experience of financial planning abd budgeting
* Expert in management accounting
* Able to design and develop complex financial models
