Finance Manager

Finance Manager opportunity with leading financial and banking organisation based near Knutsford.
Earning up to £450pd/Ltd tasked with the lead and support of top priority projects across Group on an initial 12 months contract.

Projects and Programmes
*Lead and support top priority bank wide projects - Accountabilities include collate and assess financial data, prepare & deliver presentational packs and design, communicate and implement Project governance procedures
*Apply financial knowledge to project objectives and ensure they are tangible and relevant
*Analyse and manipulate financial data to develop and present (PowerPoint and Excel) sound recommendations/solutions to O&T CFO, O&T CFO CoS & Transform PMO
*Adapt quickly to changing deliverables and priorities
*Drive forward delivery to ensure projects supporting company Global strategy ie Transform, expansion into new territories etc. remain on track
*Communicate milestones and updates effectively using a variety of channels and to a varied audience across organisation from O&T finance colleagues to O&T Senior Execs

Business Case Management
*Interpret financial analyses to enable cost effective recommendations and decisions through the review of weekly business cases from across the Bank - you will be presenting these business case reviews to a number of stakeholders ie O&T CFO, Transform PMO providing an informed overview of a particular initiative to enable sound decisions and recommendations to be made.
*This involves agreeing figures to supporting documentation, reviewing financial metrics such as NVP & DCF calculations and reviewing key milestones and operational leading indicators for reasonableness and accuracy
*Apply an analytical and investigative approach in order to support or challenge the business cases and proposals

Finance Strategy
*Influence the direction of organisations finance strategy, understanding and making recommendations, articulating solutions in presentation packs and presenting to CFO.
*Liaise with tax, legal and treasury departments to make informed decisions on appropriate legal entity structures, and set up the offshore finance operations related to new legal entities.

Governance and Control
*Understand the company governance and control over expenses in order to accurately review Company and Purchasing statements, and communicate discrepancies and anomalies

Ad Hoc Requests
*Lead and manage ad hoc requests to support the CFO Chief of Staff office in addition to daily deliverables

Person Specification
Desirable
*An individual with strong finance experience with the drive to deliver results on both planned and unplanned deliverables.
*Recognised Accountancy qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) or relevant experience
*In depth experience and understanding of finance processes/controls and tax implications involved in developing offshore operations.
*Excellent Excel, PowerPoint/Thinkcell. SAP P11 skills - proven ability to develop and deliver presentations that having structure and depth is critical.
*Accomplished presenter who is comfortable in front of varied audiences at all levels and can adjust their style accordingly
*Understanding of legal entity structures and ability to liaise tax, legal and treasury departments
*Ability to interpret financial analysis and make cost effective recommendations and challenges
*Expert knowledge of Finance best practice industry standards
*Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively in order to ensure the timely resolution of issues.
*Strong communication skills to ensure effective liaison with peers and senior stakeholders
*Strong organisational and planning abilities, to ensure that diverse tasks are managed & delivered to agreed timescales and standards
*Ability to drive forward initiatives in order to maintain a more robust control process
*Proven ability to challenge decision making
*Flexibility, as some international travel may be required
