Finance Manager

Experienced Finance Manager required ASAP - Glasgow - 5 - 11 months

My client requires an experienced Finance Manager to work on a major public Transport sector contract over the next 5 - 11 months.

Skills, knowledge and experience required:

Essential criteria

*CCAB Qualified Accountant;
*Experience of Budget Profiling and Forecasting on a high profile, material Budget
*Knowledge of Oracle Based Systems
*Excellent attention to detail;
*Understanding of statistics and ability to source and interpret relevant data and translate for example into possible consequences for budget;
*Ability to work with complex excel spreadsheets;
*Good IT skills;
*Ability to work to tight timescales;
*Be able to use own initiative;
*Good oral and written communication skills

Desirable Criteria

*An awareness of the issues affecting the delivery of the Concessionary Travel Schemes and the Bus Services Operators Grant;
*An awareness of the transport industry and in particular the bus sector;
*eRDM skills;
*SEAS (Enterprise Accounting System) user. SEAS is the clients oracle based financial reporting system.

Candidates also ideally need to have a valid Basic Disclosure Scotland that has been completed in the last 12 months. If not then candidates will need to apply ASAP.
