Finance Manager

An opportunity for a finance manager has arisen in a high performing business partner team within the Operations division of a large Banking Group. This role is based in Bristol and supports Group Property Facilities Management and Asset Management.
Facilities Management is a major part of the Banks group Property, ensuring the successful delivery of Repairs and Maintenance, Cleaning, Security and Utilities for both Retail branches and Head office sites.
This role will be responsible for all finance aspects of supporting the business from the provision of accurate, insightful management information to assisting on restructuring activities. Comprehensive experience in business planning & forecasting is essential. In the short term the priority is to support the team in preparation of a divestment programme, as well as supporting the relevant aspects of a Finance Change programme.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with experience of communicating effectively at a senior level and a record in delivering results. It is also likely that the successful candidate will already either be a manager, or a very strong assistant manager looking for their next career step.

Key accountabilities
* Work as part of the Facilities Management (FM) and Asset Management (AM) teams within Group Property, providing support, challenge and accountability for all finance related matters. To enable this challenge to take place this role will require a broad understanding of Group Property infrastructure and processes
* As part of this team, support the future strategy and direction providing input on financial aspects of the FM and AM Strategy.
* Across Group Property, ensure appropriate financial governance is in place and drive increased financial awareness and a cost effective culture across the division.
* Develop strong business relationships with senior Group property management both within the business area and also engaging with customers and the business.
