Finance Manager

A leading UK Banking Group with offices in Birmingham, is looking to on-board a Finance Manager on a 6 month rolling contract. The daily rate of pay is competitive given location and market conditions (from £320 per day to £400 per day).

The finance manager is required to provide a comprehensive line of finance support to the Finance and Operations departments of the bank. The finance manager will aid with the centralisation of Operational Activity within the Operations Business Unit, and become involved with leading a team of Operations Finance individuals.

- Core Responsibilities:

* Provide insightful financial information, interpretation and guidance, to influence appropriate stakeholders, to ensure a full understanding of the financial implications of on-boarding decentralised Operational areas.
* Provide specific support for on-boarding activity, including co-ordination of plans and resources to achieve agreed deliverables within the required time, and quality parameters.
* Development and implementation of financial models where appropriate, ensuring the technical accuracy of all such models in order to ensure that effective analysis takes place.
* Obtain information from and deliver information to other stakeholders within other finance functions, as well as stakeholders within the business unit/programme, agreeing outputs and deliverables.
* Assist in the preparation of information required for input into the financial reporting, planning, budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring appropriate stakeholders are engaged as and when required

The successful candidate will have a recognised accountancy qualification, a strong grasp of SAP / Oracle (or another widely used GL), strong excel skills and a solid banking background.
