Finance Manager

Finance Manager - Norwich and London - 6 months - Blue Chip - Financial Services

One of Hyphens Financial Services clients is looking to recruit a Finance Manager for a period of 6 months to be based between Norwich and London. It would be your role to provide financial support to the Finance Business Partners in their roles as finance account managers and business support to the Group Functions.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
* With the Head of's, contribute to and manage the development of key Finance Business Partnering processes
* Operating/managing the processes and systems which enable effective financial management, liaising with and managing the Back Office support team as required
* Develop an understanding of the functional activities to provide insight and independent challenge to the Functions
* As required, provide direct finance support to global functions with their Plans and with their reporting through regular financial and management reporting, stakeholder meetings to review expenditure and forecasts
* As required, provide financial support to Functional projects
* Supporting monthly accounts production and ad hoc management information production, linking to wider Finance reporting and governance requirements
* Understanding existing financial processes and implementing process improvements which meet stakeholder needs, ensuring controls (egFRCF) compliance
* As part of the Business Partnering Finance team, develop, encourage and leverage the benefits from global initiatives, exploiting 'shared opportunities' across the business

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE
Overall mix of strong relationship management and accounting skills together ideally with sound project life cycle knowledge and experience:
Proactive stakeholder management skills
Ability to influence senior management and build and maintain relationships essential
Highly numerate and good commercial knowledge/awareness
Ability to articulate strategic vision
Ensures deliverables to very high qualitative standards and against sound technical accounting base
Ability to undertake process re-engineering ensuring control standards are met
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Prioritisation capabilities against concurrent deadlines
Knowledge of project life cycle and infrastructure is desirable
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment

EXPERIENCE
Relationship Management, Business Partnering, Planning and customer facing experience
Strong cost controlling and accounting experience in a large organisation
Experience of operating in a Matrix environment and across multi-functions and multiple business units
Experience in an operational environment desirable
Degree plus recognised accounting qualification plus ideally 5 or more years post qualification experience
