Finance Manager

My client is currently looking to recruit an accomplished Finance Manager for a 6 month contract initially, London based

You will have the opportunity to work for a market leader and one of the UK's most recognised and established brands within the Insurance domain.

Role:
Responsibility for the delivery of all relevant statutory accounts, management accounts (as required), and regulatory returns in connection with AGC entities. Including organisation & management of offshore resource, and management of all internal & external stakeholders.
Management of internal controls framework to meet internal standards.
Through active management of the SLA's with the offshore team, and a continuous improvement process, establish process excellence & efficiency in the delivery of all operational outputs
Facilitate the delivery of service excellence to our key stakeholders
Ensure that the service measures, governance and control procedures are appropriate and adhered to
Support the AGC Senior Finance Manager in responsibility for owning relationships with stakeholders and customers in connection with all AGC companies. Engagement should be pro-active, regular and support established agreements
Support the continuous improvements to legal entity structure, process and controls which deliver efficiency gains

Key Skills/Experience:
Strong financial accounting and control experience in a large multi-national organisation
Hands on experience of preparing UK Statutory Accounts
Experience of working as part of an international team
Experience of Oracle General Ledger and Cartesis Magnitude desirable
IFRS experience a preference
Proven track record of effective relationship management and influencing experience

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE
Overall mix of relationship management skills and accounting and group consolidation process skills including:
Strong IFRS accounting knowledge
Influencing and relationship management skills essential
Strong control ethic
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
Ensure deliverables to very high qualitative standards and against concurrent deadlines
Proactive stakeholder management skills
Financial Control disciplines
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Prioritisation capabilities

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified Accountant with at least 3 years PQE.
