Finance Graduate/Junior Finance Analyst

Finance Graduate/Junior Finance Analyst - Ipswich - 6 months £15 per hour/Negotiable

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Junior Finance person to work for a well known Insurance business in Ipswich.

This role is open to Graduates with degrees in, but not restricted to, Accounting & Finance, Accounting and Business Studies, Mathematics etc. In addition, anyone with experience in the finance sector would also be considered and ideally they would have a management, or financial reporting background.

You would be a Finance Analyst working in a testing environment and responsible for carrying out functional/non functional testing of delivered solutions for allocated projects, ensuring that testing is carried out to the standards defined in the Commercial IT Test Policy and to ensure that the testing complies with Audit and Regulatory standards.

Essential
*Good interpersonal and communication skills
*Good knowledge of a wide range of common office software
*Planning & organisation skills
*Excellent numerical skills and strong accounting capabilities
*Ability to work on own initiative to meet crucial and demanding deadlines
*Bright, switched on and eager to learn

Desirable
*A good understanding of the Insurance Industry or working within financial services
*Exposure to P&L
*Proven track record in accounting with financial and/or management accounting experience
*Allocated testing phases delivered to time, budget and quality
*Produce robust test assets using repeatable/reusable processes
*Accurate and timely management information provided for each project
*Feedback obtained from project managers on the performance of allocated testing work
*Understanding of relevant test/project management - tools/techniques & life cycles
*ISEB/ISTQB Foundation in Software Testing or equivalent, or a willingness to obtain
