Finance Director

I am looking to hire a Finance Director for one of our government clients.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE: 

- Budget preparation 
- Monitoring and cash flow 

KEY TASKS AND DELIVERABLES

- This role is a business critical financial function.
- The job holder will be responsible for ensuring that the Bank has robust modelling/forecasting capabilities to support decision making both at Board and product team levels.
- The Job holder will also develop insights and make interventions to measure and enhance financial performance.

Working with Strategy and Finance colleagues, and with product teams the jobholder will be responsible for:

Preparation of the Bank' annual budgets and forecasts.

The Bank's five year financial plan

Developing forecast scenarios to aid strategic decision making

Partnering with product teams to make early interventions and improve the management of volatility in financial forecasts

Modelling the future Balance Sheet and Income & Expenditure Statement in conjunction with the Financial Accountant

Ensuring that the Bank operates within a Financial Framework and budget set by BIS and HMT

Production of Cash flow forecasts

Developing measures to cost the Bank's activities

Assessing the budgetary impact and affordability of different choices regarding resource allocation

Reporting on these matters to the Bank's senior management team and Board

Be the Finance lead on the development of Business Cases and Change Initiation in liaison with product teams

Provide support in developing and monitoring KPIs.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Forecasting in a complex and dynamic environment

Business partnering to influence budget/expenditure control through timely interventions

Understanding of financial products (eg investments, loans, guarantees etc)

Engaging with senior stakeholders

Some experience of managing budgets and forecasts in the context of Parliamentary and Departmental spending controls would be desirable
