Finance/Data Analyst

On behalf of my Financial Services organisation based in Norwich I am looking to recruit a Finance/Data Analyst on a rolling 3 month contract.

Database experience is required (Access, Business Object, SAS for example)
Ideally you will have worked in a Motor/Claims dept before, but not essential

Key responsibilities:
Strong track record in influencing and communicating at senior levels, with the ability to build credible working relationships
Ability to communicate complex issues in an easily understood manner
Ability to think strategically
Strong commercial acumen
Good technical financial skills, with ability to understand claims processes and actuarial methodology
Excellent spreadsheet skills
Broad knowledge of general insurance
Prioritisation skills
High degree of flexibility and responsiveness, within a changing environment

Providing Governance and finance support to:
Opex Budget of £50m
Claims Inflation Busting 2010 delivery of £90m
Ops 2010 Savings delivery of £14m
Developing Management Information for claims insight including indemnity spend and opex
Facilitate and deliver Financial Planning activity
Financial governance and tracking for Inflation Busting programme including assisting the shaping and tracking of initiatives
Finance direction for opex plans ensure align to targets and deliver results
Performance analysis and challenge (around existing metrics and development of new)
Support delivery of documents/reports/presentations.
