Finance Coordinator

Serco Inspections is a service provider for Ofsted and responsible for managing Ofsted inspections in the West Midlands, East Midlands and the East of England.

This position is to support the effective management of financial systems, processes and controls across the Serco Inspections Contract whilst maintaining performance against the key performance indicators.

Overall responsibility for ensuring payment schedules are met in terms of both quality & timeliness for review by Finance Support Manager, including:

- Production of schedules (weekly, monthly & quarterly) including reconciliation
- Ensuring routine transactions, e.g. payments, accruals, recharges etc are posted in accordance with finance timetable
- Co-ordination of forecast data
- Production of finance reports within tight reporting deadlines

Essential Skills

- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Good time management skills to manage tight reporting deadlines
- Attention to detail
- Initiative
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- AAT qualified/CIMA part qualified
- Previous experience of SAP would be advantageous
