Finance Controller - Reporting Contract - English Speaking in Zurich r

For a global bank based here in Zurich we are looking for a Finance Controller. The exact job title is Leverage Ratio Controller.

THE JOB:

- The candidate will work in the Group Leverage Ratio team with a focus on ensuring compliance with the Basel III policy requirements for internal and external disclosures relating to LRD (Leverage Ratio Denomination). The candidate will develop an understanding of the leverage ratio requirements mandated by Basel III for different business streams. Additional responsibilities will include further developing a control framework around the delivery of periodic regulatory as well as internal reports and adhoc QIS requests from the SNB and FINMA.
- The role provides an exciting and challenging opportunity to work within a dynamic environment. The candidate will liaise with several different functions within the Bank including Treasury, Finance and BD CFO Areas to resolve issues and understand the key drivers impacting Leverage Ratio. This role also requires working closely with Group Treasury Leverage Ratio specialists in different regions.
- The role will also develop the candidate's ability to think outside the box to develop the controls required to ensure the completeness and integrity of the Leverage Ratio framework. The candidate will use the information gathered to present the current deficiencies in the process and brainstorm suitable tactical and strategic solutions to the problems identified. The candidate will be exposed to the tight deadlines imposed for monthly and quarter-end reporting, this will develop an individuals time management skills by ensuring solutions are delivered in a timely manner.

REQUIREMENTS:

Higher degree and professional qualification in the banking industry.
2+ YEARS' EXPERIENCE IN CONTROLLING IN THE FINANCIAL SERVICE INDUSTRY.
Nice to have: Understanding of the nature of the LRD for a global bank
Strong analytical and review skills
Strong MS Office knowledge (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
Hands-on mentality, reliable and accurate working style 
Attention to detail
Good team player, high flexible, commitment to meet quality and ability to manage tight deadlines

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

- Must have an excellent command of the ENGLISH language with strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to communicate effectively to Senior Management.
