Role Description:
- The nature of the role and the department means that the members of the team get a holistic view of the financials of a large financial institution and the opportunity to gain insights into all areas of the Bank.
- The contractor will be involved in the implementation of a new planning system (Hyperion based system)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinating the monthly forecasting process for all material legal entities.
- Reviewing and questioning submissions, reconciling to divisional management numbers and centrally provided data.
- Participating in monthly review meetings/calls with senior finance management from Group Finance and the legal entity controllers.
- Preparing, explaining and distributing divisional and legal entity forecasts for the Group Corporate Center.
- Preparing presentations to executive management and the Board of Directors.
- Challenging the process with a view to automation and improvement.
Essentials Skills and Qualifications:
- University Degree in Accounting, Finance or another relevant field.
- Familiarity with management accounting processes and Microsoft Office products.
- Financial or banking background is essential for this role - 5 years minimum experience within this domain.
- Ability to work under pressure and to a tight schedule.
- Desire to learn the businesses and business processes being supported and contribute towards continuous process improvements - proactive person is required for this role.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- German is an advantage.
- Accountancy qualification would be preferable.
- Experience in planning & forecasting processes is an advantage, as is familiarity with treasury and capital planning.
