3 month contract based in Birmingham.

Are you looking for a senior financial role where you can use your technical accounting knowledge as well as work with business managers?

Our client is a global engineering company operating in the aeronautical and aerospatial sector looking for a Technical Finance Business Partner looking after Governance and reporting.

We require a qualified accountant who has expedience of Statutory reporting under IFRS, looking after Audits, compliance and reporting.

Key Accountabilities
Lead the statutory reporting activity under IFRS and UK GAAP and manage related technical accounting considerations.
Manage the internal and external audit interface and liaison with the wider business finance functions in the Parent Companies.
Support cost reduction and investment decisions by providing clear analysis, appropriate tools and training to enable the businesses to achieve their targets.
Act as Secretary to the Capital Committee.
Define, maintain and monitor finance and risk policy and related governance processes
Provide support to the Finance and Tax Committees
Maintain professional standards and compliance with internal/external financial policies throughout the business.
Support, coach and educate Business leaders and their teams in achieving business objectives, identifying cost drivers and improving financial awareness.
Develop/mentor professional staff.

Key Experiences
Financial and statutory accounting and consolidation
Business evaluation and investment appraisals
Knowledge of IFRS
Experience of a variety of commercial/business issues
Working with professional advisors
Knowledge of internal and external financial governance and control practices
