Finance Business Partner

Spring Technology are looking for a Finance Business Partner for our public sector client based in Leeds.

Responsibilities:
* Provide advice and guidance on the effective and consistent implementation of systems, policies and processes, mechanisms and tools for control and reporting whilst ensuring compliance with set reporting requirements.
* Work in partnership to support management through analysing administration data.
* Ensure the rigorous analysis, review and challenge of forecasted and emerging costs and expenditure, both within year and across the life of any scheme or project to enable assessment of value for money and appraise risk.
* Identify possible gaps and risks in the provision and application of policies, procedures and mechanisms around effective resource management and offer options for gap resolution.
* Build and maintain effective and open relationships with staff and other stakeholders at all levels across the business area. Advise and coach managers and staff on effective financial practice when dealing with complex or specific issues.

Relevant Experience:
o Ability to grasp the realities and complexities of the business and understand the implications of applying specialist knowledge
o Ability to assimilate and convey complex and challenging information to a variety of audiences
o Able to engage effectively with staff at all levels and with different technical understanding.
o Fully qualified accountant (either CIMA, ACCA or ICAEW)
o Industry standard accounting systems knowledge and working knowledge of MS Office components especially creating and using complex spreadsheets.
o Ability to prioritise in order to meet tight deadlines.
