Finance Business Partner

Key duties include:

-Learning to understand the needs of the service managers you will be working with
-Providing robust financial advice and guidance to senior managers as to the financial implications of their decisions and transformational programmes
-Driving cost reduction and efficiency savings plans across the service in line with the authority's overall strategy
-Provide accurate and timely financial reporting to allow for effective management of the budgets
-Empower managers to push forward and deliver on savings targets
-Develop a sound understanding of unit costs/activity variances

The successful candidates will:

-Be CCAB qualified (or AAT with significant experience)
-Have a strong accounting background (ideally in local government but other backgrounds including private sector will be considered)
-Have the ability and enthusiasm to learn; whilst they will not have to have prior experience within Adult Social Care, they will be expected to become competent quickly
-Have strong excel skills including pivot tables and v lookups
