My client is a public sector organisation looking to recruit a Finance Business Partner for an interim role based in Warrington.

Background
Supporting business decision making in IT through financial knowledge, advice and challenge

Main Duties/Responsibilities
Working alongside IT and Finance colleagues Challenge and review proposals, plans, performance, budgets and forecasts including Core and Investment funding streams. Costing proposals and evaluation of options. Creation of Business cases with robust benefits realisation plans Ensure that robust financial and commercial controls are adhered to using governance models Proactively manage financial risks, supporting early warning and mitigation of risks. Manage a small team of finance professionals as required.

Outputs/Deliverables to be achieved
Accountable to the Senior Finance Business Partner Production of a fully costed IT Cost Reduction Plan Manage key stakeholder relationships with IT, Commercial and Finance Planning and Performance Management Represent Finance at reviews

Skills/Experience Required
*Detailed knowledge of IT in a large public sector or FTSE100 organisation. Able to build complex business cases
*Capable of working successfully within a Matrix structure providing excellent support to the customer area whilst maintaining independent financial challenge
*Excellent communication, influencing and leadership skills
*Strong spreadsheet skills, experienced in building sophisticated business models

Formal Qualifications Required
CCAB professional qualification (qualified accountant)

Evaluation Criteria
*Proven experience of working in senior finance role in a complex, multi-supplier IT environment.
*Proven experience in the creation of IT investment business cases and benefits realisation plans using MS Office products
*Proven experience working a multi disciplinary team alongside Business, Finance, commercial and technical IT colleagues
*Demonstrates proficiency in building complex business/IT costing models 5 Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation
