Finance Business Analyst

You have a clear vision on the area of expertise of the team, including both excellent Financial accounting knowledge and knowledge of assets and tooling used. YOUR ACTIVITIES WILL BE IN THE AREA OF:

- Translation of business requirements into Finance user requirements;
- Define based on the product life cycle [analyse product] the (event based) product accounting specifications;
- Define non-product related ledger processes and services eg: tax accounting specifications, Cost of funding, P
- Analysing the differences between IFRS and local Gaap, and define the additional local GAAP accounting specifications;
- Safeguard the (local) Cash management model in close corporation with Bank Treasury;
- Implement and maintain the book/organisational structure (FSD/DRM);
- Implement and maintain the Accounting reconciliation framework (OFSAA reconciliation framework, Cash reconciliation, Intercompany reconciliation, Balance sheet substantiation, P
- Implement and maintain the controls related to the minimum standards in relation to accounting;
- Implement and maintain accounting business rules configuration (IFRS and local Gaap);
- Implement and maintain Financial accounting reporting (Operational reporting related to Financial Accounting, Management Information reports, Back reporting, Ad hoc Financial report requests);
- Safeguard the SOx standards in relation to accounting;
- Developing/maintaining documentation and process descriptions to clarify the working of functionality for end users, such as user manuals and Quick Reference Cards (QRCs);
- Define balance sheet related migration scenario's;
- Execute Functional, acceptance and migration testing;
- Translate (solution) designs into IT solutions;
- Second line functional support; daily checking of EOD (timeliness, correctness, completeness of financial/product accounting, reporting, reconciliations, ledger);

YOUR EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND

Your skills

- Experience (at least 3 years) of working in a Finance environment;
- Knowledge of and experience with agile/scrum way of working;
- Knowledge of Retail and/or, Financial Markets, and/or Corporate Lending and/or Transaction Services products;
- Knowledge of (Product) Accounting concepts;
- Knowledge of GAAP's (IFRS, other GAAP's is a plus);
- Understand and knowledge of the banking processes;
- Knowledge and experience with an accounting rules engine in general is a plus, but knowledge of Microgen Aptitude and/or Fusion Accounting Hub is a definite plus;
- Knowledge and experience of OBIEE and/or BI4 reporting tools is a plus;
- You are an expert with strong analytical skills who takes decisions based on data and facts and who makes use of state of the art methods and technics;
- Knowledge and experience of working with SQL;
- Affinity with IT;
- Good communication skills in oral and written English;
- University (Bachelor's/Master's) degree in (business) economics or a comparable field.
