Finance Analyst - Portfolio Management

My client, a large bank, has an urgent requirement for a Finance Analyst to sit within their portfolio management team.

Specific activities:

- Weekly production of Finance pack for Portfolio Management
- Regular Balance sheet Latest Views to assist management of key reporting ratios
- Weekly PM P&L Latest Views - providing up to date views of where we believe the month end will land
- Support for the Lending Decks - providing balances and insight to the movements
- Production of detailed monthly Finance Packs for PM
- Support for the Coverage FBP teams - providing information & insight into the movements

Other overall requirements

- Build up a strong knowledge of the business, their associated Financials and how they interact,
- Understand the trade composition of the balance sheets of the various business
- Strong relationship management with other areas of Finance to work together in supporting some Portfolio Management requirements,
- An ability to think laterally about the presentation and information provided to ensure it evolves in line with management challenge and environmental issues,
- Management of Portfolio Management relationship,
- Link in with and understand the balance sheet dependencies of Regulatory and LTP reporting - 2 key scarce resources in the current climate

Useful skills/experience

- Experience managing workload - prioritising & communicating
- Good/advanced excel capabilities
- Understanding of a lending book
- Experience of relevant systems (SAP etc.)
- Experience of summarising key points for a 'non Finance' audience
- Broad understanding of RWAs/LTP
