Finance Analyst - Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012

To establish root cause for support issues and assist the business with identification of system issues, best practices or change of process where needed. A good blend of Financials business knowledge and Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 system expertise is required, in order to work closely with the technical team for system related fixes and testing.

Work scope

*Provide first line support to the finance community
*Be the focal point for the finance teams and provide continuity between the Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 support team and finance
*Assist with improving the efficiency of processes to ensure the most effective use of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012
*Support finance teams correctly triaging Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 issues and effectively logging Footprints tickets
*Investigate a problem and perform the relevant analysis to provide a successful outcome
*Guide the finance team to input measures to prevent problems from reoccurring
*Support User Acceptance Testing for on-going release

Qualifications

*CIMA or ACCA member or part-qualified
*An understanding of the interaction between sub-ledgers and the General Ledger (including; journals, sales ledger processing, purchase ledger processing, project ledger processing and cash management)
*Knowledge of the activities around project accounting and the principles applied to revenue
*Confident in month-end and year-end accounting, as well as statutory reporting requirements
*Working knowledge of VAT, withholding tax and intrastat
*An understanding of the requirements of Sarbanes Oxley on financial entities would be an advantage, although is not essential
*Familiarity with processes relevant to cash processing and reconciliations
*The ability to lead meetings and facilitate workshops to drive the required outcome
*Experience of working closely with IT, technical teams and external suppliers
*Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 implementation experience on a global scale
*Experience in management accounting
*Advanced Excel skills with the ability to quickly analyse and organise large/complex data sets
