Finance Analyst, Interest Rate Hedging, Newly Qual

Our client, a leading investment and retail bank, urgently requires an Finance Analyst to review of the sale of Interest Rate Hedging Products (IRHPs) to Retail customers. The ideal candidate will have 1 or 2 years post qualification in a Big 4 company or large bank.

Key responsibilities:
*Confirming and comparing cash flows on both the original and replacement IRHP
*Confirming the validity and quantum of any customer testimony provided for consideration in the redress decision, in conjunction with the File Reviewers as well undertaking the customer file investigation, including
oSourcing relevant data
oModelling cash flows over the life of the IRHP
oComparing customer testimony with Bank or other third party records
oPerforming calculation of interest
oPerforming assessment of customer restructuring in an alternate scenario, working closely with Relationship managers
*Preparing appropriate customer communications to explain redress decisions to the customers
*Acting as a credible, respected key contact and actively manage stakeholders expectations

Essential:
*Newly qualified accountant (preferably first time passes)
*1-5 years working experience - in top bank or big 4
*Strong Excel and other Microsoft tools skills
*Corporate Banking or Interest Hedging Products Exposure (preferable)
*Advanced analytical skills
*Outstanding oral and written presentation skills
*Ability to work to tight deadlines
*Good team worker
*Ability to operate effectively within an environment of change
*Confident to operate independently and demonstrate flexibility
