Finance Analyst - Compliance

Our client a large Law firm is seeking a Financial Analyst (Compliance) with legal experience to join their Leeds office in a 6 month Fixed Term Contract paying £25,000 pro rata.

The role is required primarily to work on a high profile finance project relating to compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules. This role will support the Senior Compliance Manager in the accurate and timely management of specific processes within the firm, ensuring compliance at Legal Adviser and Client Partner level and the subsequent correct treatment of client funds. Therefore legal experience is essential.

Role details:

Supporting the Senior Compliance Manager in ensuring the compliance of the firmwide business with the SRA Accounts Rules, particularly with regard to client monies.
Supporting the business with regard to specific finance processes, providing information and communications, reporting on progress, answering queries, and meeting with key stakeholders to ensure compliance.
Performing detailed reviews of data on the systems, investigating breaches and outstanding items
Supporting the development of clear processes for addressing and resolving breaches, including meaningful trackers of progress
Maintaining appropriate communications and correspondence with partners and external bodies.
