Commercial Analyst/Finance Analyst/Management Information Analyst

£18,000 - £25,000 per rata

My client is looking to bring on a Commercial/Finance Analyst for a 3 -6 month fixed term contract. As the Finance Analyst you will be responsible for the production of management information relating to sales, margins and costs both internally and to another client. You will be supporting the Commercial Finance Manager in the production of budgets and forecasts for this client.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the timely and accurate production and distribution of the sales and margin information
- Responsible for the production of ad-hoc analysis to support the interrogation of sales/margin performance to support the trading meetings and gain understanding of current performance
- Responsible for the production and distribution of all gross margin budget and forecast data
- Support the Commercial Finance Manager to continuously review opportunities to improve cash margin
- Responsible for the production of robust budget/forecast models in order to project trading expectations, which will drive direct income and expenditure assumptions
- Liaise with the management accounts team to ensure margins are accurately recorded in the management accounts and trading variances explained
- Monitor performance against internal targets and highlight key issues and variances making recommendations where appropriate

Key Skills:
- Strong Excel skills - (V-Look ups, Pivot tables, Macros)
- Experience in dealing with senior management
- Budget/Forecasting/Margin experience
- Qualified/Part Qualified accountant ( ACCA, CIMA)
- Attention to detail
- Self-motivated
- Numerate
- Ability to analyse statistics
- Experience in a large commercial organisation (not a 1 man team)
- Good communication skills
