Finance Analyst/Accountant

I am looking for an accountant to work in Cambridge for an 11 month contract.

Together with the other accountants responsible for up to 30 companies operating in the UK, Europe and Asia to do

Financial Accounts

- monthly trial balance reviews including work on foreign accountants packs
- annual accounts packs to support trial balance
- liaise with external accountants and auditors during annual accounts process
- reconciliation of final accounts to the trial balance

Tax Returns

- review of general ledger transactions to determine tax treatment
- preparation of annual tax packs
- assistance with & submission of VAT returns

Audit work

- for larger company audits, to provide any supporting documentation required for the auditors
- assistance with preparation of trial balances and processing of any audit adjustments required
- assistance with disclosure notes for the financial statements
- National Statistics Returns
- Ad hoc projects including assisting other staff in Department during busy periods, holidays and other absences
