Projektbeschreibung

Senior Finance Analyst required for a global pharmaceutical company, for a 12 month contract, based in Middlesex.

Essential Duties and Job Functions

- Provide business partnering support to internal customers, performing ad-hoc analysis and preparation of materials to support business needs.
- Responsible for month-end close activities involving review of transaction details, understanding drivers behind variances versus forecast, preparation of journal entries and commentary for explaining variances to multiple stakeholders.
- Proactive involvement in the budgeting and planning process for headcount and operating expenses and preparation of presentation packages for budget owners.
- Collaborate with other FP&A functions to ensure alignment of information and completeness and timeliness of submissions.
- Responsible for accurate and timely management reporting including monthly financials (BVAs) and functional expense reporting.
- Conduct comprehensive financial analyses and use results to provide insights to management.
- Consult and work closely with business partners to evaluate the costs and benefits associated with various financial decisions and provide essential trade-off options.
- Provide financial analysis to support tactical and strategic decision making - eg input to business cases, cost analysis, what if scenarios, etc. as stipulated by the needs of the R&D business.
- Accountable for meeting project deadlines and objectives.
- Participate in the design, development and deployment of new technologies and processes.
- Responsible for the support and maintenance of the company's financial information.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills Required

- Relevant experience in Financial Planning & Analysis roles
- Possess a great deal of flexibility and adaptability as the demands of the business grow and evolve
- Proficient in multiple aspects of accounting and finance
- Complete proficiency in the management and refinement of financial systems, business processes and data base structures
- Experience in multi-national organizations
- Ability to work with minimal supervision to meet deliverables, but not reluctant to seek clarifications when needed
- Excellent interpersonal skills are required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and analytical skills are a must
- Demonstrated success working in a deadline driven and multi-task environment
- Positive attitude and a strong work ethic required

Desirable skills/experience

- Extensive hands-on working knowledge of Hyperion Applications (including Essbase & Smartview) and Oracle ERP or similar systems
- Experience in pharmaceuticals industry
