Finance Analyst

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Managing Supplier relationships pertaining to the Financial Management process
- Monitoring Supplier compliance with agreed financial obligations by developing and implementing processes to facilitate invoicing reviews and detailed supporting information
- Reconciling invoices to contract and service credits, invoice certification, approval and processing, audit and reporting, inventory control
- Reviewing monthly invoices against expected charges and reporting on unplanned variances and charges
- Managing budget for externally sourced services, including project budget forecasting
- Ensuring monthly contract management accounting support to businesses including budget variance and trend analysis, KPI reporting, cash flow management
- Design and implementation of benefits realisation process
- Implementing a recharge roadmap that achieves mapping of Supplier charges to the internal consumers of the services through the organisation's current general ledger or accounting system
- Ensuring that financial procedures and standards are maintained regularly
- Facilitating governance meetings and requirements with suppliers on billing and active service items
- Liaison with corporate Financial Management to develop and maintain the relevant budgets

SELECTION CRITERIA:

- Minimum of two years experience in financial governance of outsourced IT services
- Extensive knowledge of/experience in at least one of the following: Vendor-hosted applications and services, Mainframe, midrange and associated technologies, end user computing, network, voice technologies
- Minimum of 2 years experience/qualifications in financial accounting
- Strong numerical capabilities and conceptual, analytical and reporting skills, including high degree of proficiency with office productivity software (MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills, eg complex data analysis)
- Excellent relationship-building skills, including strong negotiation skills and an ability to communicate and influence effectively across a diverse stakeholders group to a common outcome
- Superior time management and organisational skills
- Must be a self-starter with strong business acumen, proven commitment to customer service excellence and continuous improvement
