Finance Analyst

Exciting new opportunity with an Investment bank in Glasgow.

The primary purpose of the role is to lead the day to day Finance workstream on specific Project related activity, delivering a successful project end conclusion. You will be expected to liaise with a wide range of stakeholders involved in non Finance project work streams to deliver a congruent and focussed approach to the project outcome managing any risks involved.

Professional/technical experience:
The role holder will have experience or knowledge of large company finance functions and how they operate coupled with a good understanding of accounting principles and core finance processes. The role holder will have strong technical financial accounting and reporting knowledge (IFRS) gained within the Financial Services industry or a leading Accountancy Firm. To be able to demonstrate an understanding of end-to-end financial control/accounting processes and related issues and demonstrates understanding of regulatory and tax reporting. Familiarity with SAP would be an advantage as well as good Excel skills.

Academic and professional qualifications:
The right candidate will be educated to degree level or above, preferably in an numeric/accountancy/finance related discipline and will hold a recognised accountancy qualification eg CIMA, ACCA or ACA (or equivalent).

Language skills:
The role holder will have an excellent command of English language with strong written and verbal communications to deliver against our commitment to providing a world class service and drive our dedication to the client experience.
